Well Mark F. and myself got out at daybreak this morning, (had the lake to ourselfs until 8:30 or so when a guy on a wake board went by.... ???)  It started out a nippy 19* but warm to 35 by the afternoon. Mark caught 2 fish right away,  Smiley then I managed 1 shortly after that.  both of us lost alot more fish than I care to admit, it was like they were getting skin hooked then pull off. ???  Next time you see Mark, ask him how big can sculpins get! Grin Shocked

Hit Washington today with Pork.  Weather was not to bad.  Light drizzle in the morning, a good sun break around noon.  Pork got one at 2.6 lbs in 32ft on a spider jig and Cheese got nailed on a drop shot in 19ft of water. Abour a 4lb that broke me off right at the boat.  The cool thing was another fish followed the hooked fish all the way up.  Had a few other bites but no solid hook ups.  All in all, real good fishing is just around the corner on WA.  Fishing are definitely moving  into prespawning area's

Porks fish came off of the coleman point area, the Cheese fish that broke off didn't come off any point.  Large flat near a spawning area

Went out with my buddy and he landed his first bass of the year...a 3.7 in 19ft of water slow dragging a grub.

Sunday I caught 2, a 2.6 and a 1.6.  Missed 3 others.  Today I caught a 4.0 and my buddy caught a 1.0.  Can't seem to get a pattern down as they all hit different lures.

Sorry I didn't make it to the Long lake fish-in Saturday but I wasn't feeling well . I did manage to get out on Lake Washington Sunday and found the tempature up to 54 in some spots , caught only one but she was a beauty at 5.5lbs, caught in the Union Bay area on a jig. I love starting my year out right !!

WOW!!! What a day for me today.  Went out from 6:30 to 11:30am and caught 11.  First 4 went 3.5, 4.5, 4.7, 3.0, and best five probably went around 18-19lbs.  Smallest fish was a 1lb.  Seemed like everything I threw out worked.  Still need my 5lber now.
