Columbia River Tournament

Here is some info that may be useful:

We are launching from:
Columbia Point Park
Tel: 509-943-9161

The project site is located between the Columbia River and George Washington Way just north of Interstate 182. From Interstate 182/US Route 12 take exit 5A onto George Washington Way (.2 mile). At the first traffic light turn right and continue on Columbia Point Drive to Columbia Point. Turn right onto Adams Street and go to its end. Columbia Point Marina Park will be on the left. The boat ramps are located at the north end of the parking lots.

DRIVERS' MEETING WILL BE 4.30am ON SATURDAY,
this will allow some time for sign-ups if necessary.

I will be staying at the Desert Gold RV Park & Motel. My cell number is 206-550-8538.
I should be arriving at about 6-7pm on Friday evening. For those who are nearby, I will keep the "office" open until at least 10pm.

Seeya at the meeting on the 20th, and then on the water!!

Faz,  since we will probably be kind of scattered out as far as where we are staying where are we having the "Potluck" dinner Saturday evening?  And what time?

See ya there.  Rich

I'm really not sure there is an easy fix for the "Potluck" - other than all descending "en masse" on some local eatery. I think I'll get some discussion at the meeting and then try to wrap it up Friday night when I can see what's down there.

Getting Pizza delivered to a boat launch is tough, unless somebody makes an in-person visit to the selected pizza joint prior to the event.  Harvey Leonard used to arrange that for the Castmasters, so it is possible. For a dozen + pizza sales, they should be glad to co-operate, but it will take prior arrangement.

Mongo sounds good to me.  I have been to the one here in Tacoma and it is pretty good.

Lord have mercy. Mongolian Grill and the WBC = we will never ever again get invited back to the Tri-Cities. Bring the Beano.

Just found out I could go.  Dilema...called all of the surrounding motels within reason $40-60 and they are all booked.  Any suggestions?  Only need power, I can stay in the Suburban.  Why no tents anywhere?  Please help or I guess I'll do yard work, ahhhhhh!
