My only question to Russ is.....Was that 9lb Pig caught out of a PHOENIX?     That could be a great promotion piece.....if not.....you should have thrown it before the boat.....hahahahahahahh

Super fish!!  That's the equivalent of about a 15 pounder where I was fishing.  Way to go.!

Went out saturday and it was pretty windy and rainy.  I was wondering how I was still the first guy to the lake when I didn't get there until 9:00 AM.  Ran to where I wanted to fish and turned on the electronics and water temp was 41.1 Angry  Then ran to another spot and it was 40.5.  Needless to say I figured out why I had the lake to myself and called  it a day,  I can only solve one mystery a day. Cheesy  Water temps were low 50's two weeks ago at the capital city tournament.  I hope we start getting some good weather before our tournament, and not at the last minute either because it didnt do us any good last year.

I am a fishing machine, but to drive that far to pre-fish in those temps would kill me before the tournament started.   Grin

Come on Chis this sport is all about overcoming adversity. Think of how good it would have felt to pull a couple of fish in the boat in those conditions.........

Okay folks.....the tough fishing continues....fished 3 hours Friday in rain...ice pellets....Saturday with Jose with a bad charge on the trolling batts....wind but sunny and Sunday bright sun 65-70 degrees and not until the last day did I see 58 degree water and cruising fish that are very skiddish and spooky.....saw maybe 12 fish and worked one 2 lber untill he got pissed and swam off!
Lets just say that if the forcast stays as they say we are gonna have a good fish turnout!!!!
Especially since I am sporting the Mustache-less look due to my need-for-change fishing policy! Wink
