Lake Tapps Smallies

Went out with Dilbert for opening day on Tapps, plenty of boats and such a nice day to be on the water.  I was finally to put a fish of my own into the boat!  First of the year, and first in the boat...not a bad day.  Smallest of the bunch in the 2's and the larger was 3+  Should be getting a new scale to have certified really soon.  Fishing in 16', weightless 2/0 hook with a 3" smoke senko.

I just ordered a digital scale to replace the spring scale.  Now I just need to find a ruler... better make that a yard stick.

And next time I'm going to re-tie if my line is nicked! Angry

I have a "golden rule" measuring board if thats whats what you're looking for.  I think it goes to 21 inches, but I will check tonight.  Found them on sale at Walmart a while back, $5 for you.

I'll take it!  Thanks!

Is the next meeting May 15th?  I think I should be able to make it.

Ya May 15th.  I bought 4 I think because I thought the club would jump all over them.  I'll bring you one.

Nice fish. Tapps is loaded with those. I drove by Lake Tapps this las weeked and relized how much I miss fishing Tapps. Out there early AM and sunrise with Mt. Rainer in the back ground is outragious. The Columbia can not match that.
There is no SM in Lake Tapps.

Went out to Tapps yesterday with Lee and Alex, fished from 7-6pm caught about 20 plus smallies each (give or take  Wink) with 3lbs being the biggest with a lot of 1-1 1/2lbers. with a 25-30inch tiger musky by Alex on a sinko. Cheesy I had a 50+- incher follow a spinnerbait right to the boat, tried a figure 8 which seemed to amuse it for afew minutes, we exchanged looks for a few seconds then it turned and sank back onto the weeds. (Kinda spooky seeing a fish that big with no fear that close to you. Shocked) It was a good day on the lake.

How deep were you fishing Brian?  I've only been getting the 1LB'ers lately out there with a good size fish here and there.
