Something to try next time out during the long winter....
Alot of times we approach a lake with the question..."Where to start".....So pick 3 spots...either spots recommended or spots that look good and fish them in a circuit.......That is fish each spot with your tried and true baits....Dropshots and Carolina rigs for me.....for a time period, say 1-1/2 hrs each spot and after you have completed the circuit once....do it again...change nothing! keep the baits the same and just fish the circuit again....you might find then, that fish do things at different times rather than with different baits.
It's winter time so all we have is time!
Save the bait change for when you catch a fish or get hits to refine the pattern.
Then return here and tell us what you find and write your results in a journal for next winter to make the cold times Hot Times!
