First of all, thank you again for taking the time and making the effort to come down to American Lake and take some very worthy warriors and their families fishing.  The feedback was great, from both the warriors and you boaters.  I hope that you will all be there again next year.



I’d also like to ask for your help with another great event – the CAST for Kids event in Renton.  We will hold out 20th annual event on Sept. 10th at Gene Coulon Park.  We will be taking out about 50 special needs kids and their parent.  Boaters need to be there about 7:30.  Leave your boats on the trailer and come over to the Kidd Valley for set up.  Kids start arriving at about 8:30.  We match them up with you boaters and get them out about 9:00.  You fishing for about 2 ½ hours.  This is the height of perch season so everyone catches a bunch of fish.  Then everyone comes in at 11:30 – 12:00 for a huge BBQ and awards ceremony.  We’ll be done about 1:30.



If you thought the Take a Warrior Fishing was fun wait until you do this one.  You’ll love it.  If you can make it, please contact me as soon as you can so we can know how many kids to invite.  Also, check with some of your club members or other fishing buddies to see if they can make it.

Just read an email from Jim Owens, from late last week.  He is still in need of a few more boaters for this event.  It is really fun, has always went smooth for me.  One year I got a kid that was a little scared of the boat ride (wasn't from rough water ride so no jokes please  LOL  Roll Eyes) but we made it work and he still caught some nice perch and small bass.  The picture and plaque that you get at the end of the day with your fisherperson is worth it.
