Reel repair

Can anyone tell me if there is someone who does reel repair locally?  My wife accidentally dumped one of my spinning outfits over the side of the boat in the Gene Coulon marina, but I was able to come back a couple days later with my aqua view and I got it Smiley  The reel is pretty much locked up and in need of a good cleaning.  Any suggestions on where to take it?  Thanks.

I am surprised that it "locked up" after only a "coupla of days".  I dropped a Shimano Sustain in the Newport Canals and it was there for a week before I got it back.  When I did, I changed the line and fished it.  I didn't worry about cleaning it until the end of the season.
If your reel is a Shimano, I can recomend three places:

OLLIE DAMON
236 SE. GRAND AVE.
Portland, OR 97214 USA / Great reputation for quality work at reasonable price.
(503) 232-3193

Lake Fork Tackle Repair
Connie Kilpatrick
428 P.R. 5936 Yantis, TX 75497 / This place is great, but it takes about 10 days.
Shop: 903-383-2120
email: reellady@peoplescom.net

JOHN'S SPORTING GOODS
1913 BROADWAY
Everett, WA 98201 USA / OK but very slow and unreliable.

There is a guy I know who does reel repair in olympia. He is with Capital City Bass Club. He is currently doing rod & reel repair for Cabelas and a couple other sporting good stores.

It is a Quantum.  I am kind of surprised that it locked up also.  I might tear it apart myself and see what I can find.  The only problem is that when I do that, I usually end up with a couple of extra screws and springs Wink

Go online to Quantum's site and download a schematic.  That is if Quantum puts up schematics on their website.  Again I'm probably spoiled by Shimano, as they have a very detailed schematic on every reel we sell online.

you can go to www.reelschematic.com or http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/schematics - I just ordered parts for one of my reels today.
