I was at the TBF meeting in Ellensburg on Saturday and attended the draw.  There were no conflicts with WBC, so it looks like we'll get what we wanted.
There are a couple of interesting rule changes that are being proposed that won't affect us directly but will affect our sport in general.
The state noted that the slot limit and other restrictions on LMBs in Banks was having a positive effect.  They also encouraged folks to take more undersized SMBs.  "What a revolutionary idea!"  Roll Eyes

So get out the fillet knife, eh, Smitty?  Maybe the O'Days need to bring the fryers to the J&J for a fish fry next year.

sounds like a great schedule.  Hopefully there won't be too many conflicts with BASS or FLW qualifier series and everyone can compete.  I like changing up the lakes to different times of the year.  It makes us better fishermen.

Just got an E-mail from Bruce Baker at WDFW in regards to our tournament schedule and there is a WAC change coming so they have delayed the posting of the schedule but he did confirm these dates for our club events.
"I was waiting for a change to the fishing contest WAC to become
finalized before mailing out the permits.  However, I can tell you that
Western Bass Club has the following dates and locations approved:

  4/19-20     Silver Lake (Cowlitz Co.)
  5/10-11     Lake Chelan
  6/21-22     Riffe Lake
  7/19-20     Lake Roosevelt
  8/23-24     Lake Wallula
  9/20-21     Potholes Reservoir
10/11-12     Silver Lake (Cowlitz Co.)"

Thank you Larry for posting the dates for 2008 tournement dates.Bruce was waiting to see what the February meeting on Zebra muscles braught about for changes.I still dont have the permits he said  they would be out soon. The Chelan date was moved forward because of conflicts.Moses had 7 different groops try for May.Needless to say ours was one moved. The nice thing is for those who want to do more than just Western the tourneys dont overlap each other. This year there was several more clubs on the wish list. There was not going to be much for table scraps. So the club was fortunate to get all ther 1st choices except Chelan a 2nd choice.Remember 2009 lake selections need to be done in September Grin
