I was talking about the launch change to a buddy and he made the comment that that launch may not be open until 6:00am, anybody know if there's any truth to this? Huh

Just an update to the tournament specifics on the off-limits areas.  Only the Williamette is off limits all other Oregon waters are fine although you will need to purchase a Oregon fishing license.  Driver's meeting is at 5:30 AM.

I can't believe it.  I was out of town for a few days and we actually pushed this darn thread to 7 pages.

I also noticed that it seems that if you get there early in the morning you get in for free because the people aren't there taking launch fees yet!  Smiley

Joel is  right  if  you  get there before the fee  taker  your  day will be free  i am sure  5:00  will be plenty  early..   The columbia  is very easy to run  just one rule you need to follow.. run in the channel   and  come off pad   when you leave the channel and idle to the bank you  want to fish..  This of course  should be true on any unfamiliar body of water..   I'd be willing to bet  that  you'll not  see much competition from the Hawg HUnter open out of scappose  most of  them will  run up the Wilamette and  a few may  go largemouth hunting in the  Multnomah channel.   a couple boats may  go as high as the I 205 bridge..
the most likely  place where your two tournaments  are likely  to  compete is at Kelley point ( where the WIlematte meets the Columbia.   Anyway  I welcome  you to my home  waters  and I hope  you guys have a great time....

I found a room at the Quality Inn in Vancouver.  There was some rooms available at the Comfort Inn as well but they couldn't guarantee a first floor room to charge my boat.
