I didn't go to the Silver Lake draw  Sad I had some things come up on Friday that ran longer then I thought they would & I was just to wiped out to pack all my stuff & make the drive.
I went to Lake WA on Saturday. It was very windy & I was having a tough time getting around in my little boat. At 3pm I had 0 fish & was about to call it a day when I decided to give it the ONE MORE CAST Wink. The next 20min I got 4 fish a 4.8 4.2 3.5 3.4 WOW what fun. After a long drive to one more spot with no luck I run into Bill Hill & a friend of his I don't recall his name but we can just call him the worst camera man hence the bad photos. All the fish were in 6-10 feet must have been on beds but I could not see them cause the wind/chop in the water.

I was wondering where you were John.  You made the right lake choice, even if it came under those circumstances.  Those are some fatties.  I wish I had brought the boat to work today  Angry

Like catching fish in a barrel!!!!! Those canals get stacked with smallies. I used to have 100 fish days before everyone found out about how hot it was in front and back in there.

Can you imagine catching 4+ lb smallies on every cast and a couple of 6-1/2'ers every once in awhile.

Yup used to be so much better in there.

I hate to break it to you but I did not catch these fish in the Canals. I did fish the Canals early in the day but no fish were in there yet. I only took pictures at that location because that's were I saw Bill Hill coming out. A smart angler never takes pictures in the same location as his catch Wink

Russ,
Remember when Lake Washington was pretty much an untouched fishery? Well, I had fished the canals at least 12 years ago, and then was using the dropshot about 8 years ago to boot. Pretty amazing fishery..... 2.5# was the SMALLEST fish you would catch, and the average was 3.7#.........

I kind of introduced Russ to the canals a long while ago. We used to go in there and catch 50 or 60 pounds a piece in about 3 hours after work. The good old days.. Remember those days Russ?

I saw someone saturday along the Eastside shoreline of Lake Wa by the newcastle exit in a Nitro. Was that any of you?
Just wondering how they did. Seems like they were fishing fast.

I was just driving around checking things out. I just got a boat. I will be out soon. I will need assistance getting to know some starting spots on the local lakes around here.

Went out today caught 8 from 1-3.5lbs.  I hit the mother load and caught 5 in about 30 minutes.  My buddy managed to catch one about 2.7lbs.  We both missed many other bites as well.  Lots of boats out there prefishing for next week's tournament.  What a day! Smiley
