The wife decided she was coming with me after all. She had a meeting at the same time as the tournament but they changed the date to June. Since she hadn't fished in the new boat yet she begged to go. And since she is paying for half of this boat you don't tell her no.

I guess I am pretty lucky. If I had asked my wife to go with me and she  declined due to other commitments and her plans changed she would have bit the bullet being that I had committed to another person in all fairness to them.
