Meridian pigs!

Took a friend out this morning to Meridian.  This is my first time on the lake and my friend's first time bass fishing.  Started the day throwing the horny toad and senko without a bite.  I wanted to get my friend some action so we switched to panfish gear.  That only resulted in small fish.  Then the breeze came and waterskiiers where out and I decided to pick up my spinnerbait rod.  Sure enouth that was the lure.  I ended up catching a 4lb 12oz largemouth followed by my personal best, a 5lb 14oz fish.  Man that was so close to my goal of a 6lb fish.  I would've like to get my friend on to some fish, but those two fish would for me especially only being out there for a few hours.

Nicely, done!!  Good message.  Not all fish shut down in warm, hot weather.

Nice fish Says !  I got a couple yesterday evening 2-10 and 2-14 at a local lake.  Definetly helps to get up a little more early or stay out a little later  Tongue
