I will not be making it as overtime is "Save Money for Summer Gas Time" and someone is giving up 3-12 hour shifts this weekend! Will be hitting Silver pretty hard after that!
Good Luck to all at the fish-in!

It may seem early to bring out your spinnerbaits and buzzbaits but this lake is prime for them!!  Big fish of the day on this lake usally pushes 5+ pounds!! For those of you that enjoy flipping and skipping baits, there's are plenty of spots for that to! Hope to see lots of you there it's going to be a blast!!!

For those of you who are planning to be there this Saturday, I'm new in the club, and would like to get a seat if somebody is willing to take me.

Jose you don't need to pre-arrange a seat. Just show up and Brian will get you in a boat. Nobody stays behind, which is why we try to get as many boats as possible to show, so we can fit everyone.

Beside spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, any other tip on gear/lures for this Saturday?
What type of cover and structures in this lake?

Long Lake is a shallow...(30' at deepest) lake that warms quickly and early in spring.
It has lily pad fields to the south with intermixed lay down logs throughout. There are numerous docks.
Weightless baits...ie...Senkos and Centipedes work well there and the earth tone colors seem to prevail.
Red Shad Powerworms work exceptionally well when lightly texas rigged with or without the weight pegged and the spring demands long casts with a light presentation as the fish can be skiddish when first entering the shallows early in the year.

Did I hear Powerworm?  OHH.  I used to use red shad on Sawyer years back, did pretty well.  I'll have to find my stash.  Good info Larry.

I went on e-bay four years ago and got a bulk pack of 100 red shad( aka Tequila Sunrise) just for Long Lake.

Hi a fella's, Im a past member ( Kent Okeson ) thinking about rejoining the club now that my scheduale has changed at work .  I was on swing shift at Boeing but now Im on graveyard so that means I can now make the meetings and fish-in's but may not make it to many tournaments. Anyhow I was planning on heading to this fish-in so look for a Astro fish'n'ski catching all the fish.
