Last night Stu suggested that we might change the location of the Jack and Jill from Vantage on the Columbia River to a new location.

I would be open to changing the location as well.

Where would we go instead?

If you can work out the reg.s with the city Duck Lake would be an awesome choice.

humm . . . I was thinking for more sunshine, like Lake Roosevelt, especially since we didn't get to fish it last year for the J & J.

I like your thinking Andrea.  Smiley   Potholes, Roosy, or Banks... all good choices.

Keri and I were talking about it on the way home from the meeting last night.  We decided we liked Potholes the most for this tourny.  Sunshine, great camping, lots of fishing variety, and lots of places to get away from the skiiers and wind (in case it kicks up).

I thought about duck lake too, any camping though?  Goodwin, but that lake will have mass skiiers.  Potholes is always a good choice, but have you ever had problems with skiiers on that lake??  I never seen many.

I agree with Glenn and Keri.  July, the sun is always shining in Eastern Washington.  I've been on Duck Lake in July and it poured for 5 of 7 days we vacationed there.  Potholes, Roosevelt, Moses or Banks but east of the mountains gets my vote, if we should change it at all.  My 2 pennies

How about the ever famous prop wreckin' Sprague lake?  Its got all the big three...sun, camping and no waterskiers.

The only problem with Roosevelt is getting the Federal permit.  Other than that, I vote for Roosevelt.  Lots of fish to be caught, good scenery, good campgrounds.... Or maybe scootney.... Have never fished it but have heard it would be a good lake for a low key event.

I like the Potholes idea the best, but I wonder if we can get a permit for it since it gets so many tourneys?  I'd really like to fish Roosevelt.

If there were only 5 or 6 couple could you slide by without a permit?

Well, being there were 17 couples last year, I doubt that's an option.

Although Duck is a great fishery, the weekend of the J&J is usally the weekend all the Harleys on the west coast gather there. Potholes would definatly have my vote with Moses and Roosevelt as the next options.

Doug,
Have you ever been to Billy Clapp?  Not exactly a place where you could take the ladies out for a drink after a hard day of fishin".  I don't think we should lose sight of the fact that this tournament is "more about them".

Sunshine and the Potholes sounds good to Terry and I.

Our second choice would be Roosevel because we missed fishing it last year.

Either one would be great with us.

Does this give Jim time to make the change?

Looking forward to the J and J.
