Alas it has happened again.........
My boat...a Pro 190 ProCraft was stolen from my yard on Tuesday the 6th sometime between 5:30 am and 4:30 pm.
I want to express to folks that this is increasingly getting to be a focus for these dirt bags and to take every effort to lock up your rigs.....I have already started on the concrete pilings and shed to get my rig....when returned.... to be safer in storage.
And yes.....I AM VERY PI#$ed OFF!

I know how infuriated I would be if this happened to me, but to those of you who go bass fishing weekly (some of you almost daily, it seems), I can't imagine how it must feel!

Larry, what kind of lock did you have on yours?  After mine was stolen I have been looking at different lock systems for trailers.

But when you get down to it if they want your boat there are several weighs to get it.  I think that some type of alarm system with vibration or movement alarm would be a great help.  At least they wouldn't have much time to do what they have to.

And since I only had a padlock on mine it was pretty easy to "snip & snatch".

That is just unreal. I would wrap about 35 pounds of chain around the tongue with 6-7 locks hear and there. Maybe it will deter them a little....I am sorry to say, but there is no answer to stop crime. You just have to take the extra steps to avoid being a victim. If it looks too time consuming or risky for them, they'll move on to someone else.
