I came in 2nd and it was tough day of fishing. Their was only one limit caught. Which just so happen to be me. I came in with 8.97lbs of bass and I didn't get to all my really good spots for the tournament. I made good adjustments early in the day. All the other kids had beds that their dad showed them the day before. The kid that beat had a 4.5lb smallie and 2.5lb largie in his sack. I am happy with the way I fished and yes I easily qualified for the tourney. I knew with an hour and a half left I was going to go on to fish at banks during the jamboree so I kind of steped to the side and let the other kid in the boat call the shots. He counldn't get a fish all day. Everyone caught few fish and were fishing beds all day. I kind of tossed where I thought their would be a bed. I really slowed down this weekend and fished with lots of focus. Now I've got my eyes on the win at Banks in two weeks. That's the important one. Then the next one will be the Bassmasters Classic.

Excellent job, Nick. Way to perform under the pressure, baby!

Way to go Nick! Does only one person qualify for the classic, or how does it work? Sounds like you're in good shape going into Banks! How many people fished? Just curious. Way to go buddy. See you on Friday at Mar Don.

Very nicely done Nick.  Here's hoping that the Banks Lake experience is even better!!
On a side note.  It might be a little bit more polititcally correct if at the next B.A.S. S. tournament photo session you don't wear an FLW shirt.  heh heh.
