Good to hear ya had a good time! That smb was a banks trophy... did ya get any 6 lb plus walleye to green slip? I'm sure the boys had a great time. Now that the wife has had a taste of walleye you may not be able to leave her home next time.
No green slip Walleye's I'm afraid, biggest one was 19 1/2 inches but it probably tasted the same as its bigger cousin would have

The boys and I just returned from four days of fantastic fishing at Banks. We spent more time chasing the walleyes than we did bass but the biggest smallmouth of the trip was 4 1/2 lbs. We ate as much fish (walleye and perch) as we wanted to and even brought home some walleye fillets for the wife.
All in all, was a good time and the weather held up with no rain!

Looks like myself and the 3 boys will be headed to Banks Lake on July 10th for a week of camping/fishing. Plans changed from BrownLee Reservoir to here when a buddy of mine backed out of the trip.
I've never been to Banks so this should be fun, I always enjoy learning new water and hope I can keep the kids busy enough with fish to keep them from fighting
The club normally stays at Coulee Playland for tournaments, correct?

Last Sunday and Monday my friend, his wife and 3 yr old son stayed at Steamboat and had a pretty decent days of fishing. Fishing was tough at times, but we still had a few quality fish. Water temp were in the low 60's with overnight low temps in the low 50s. I don't know if it was the lower temps or full moon that slowed down fishing, but I was I was told by other fishermen out there that fishing was a lot better a week earlier. Biggest largie was at 3lbs with a number of 2lbers and largest smallmouth was 2.5lbs.
