You rock!  Dang!  You know... I'm beginning to prefer the days when most of the club put their boats away for the winter and my 5 pound smallies were big fish for February and March.  Between you and Rich (with his 8# 4 oz toad), I'm getting a "small fish complex!"

I'd take one fish a day any time if that was the results!  Again - way to go!  And thanks for sharing - it's a fish that dreams are made of!

This weekend Brian.  As long as there are snickerdoodles I am there.  I might not be cheap but I can be had. Shocked

Good idea Rob.  Lets talk about it at the board meeting and then the general meeting.

Seeing these pigs getting hauled out makes me think we should have "Pound" club patches. Say largemouth, as soon as you get a 5 or 6 pounder, you get a "5 pound" patch. Then you go up every pound from there. We can make a special patch as they get to the 8-9 pound range then a rare 10 pound patch. I'm not sure if a club member in history has ever caught a 10 pounder, but what a feat it would be......As the Grand Slam isn't hard enough huh!! These fish would have to be caught in the state of Washington of course or it would be too easy.

Nah, the pictures and the witnesses are plenty for me right now.  Plus, I plan on catching one over the 10 pound mark someday....  don't need replicas of them both.   Grin

Now that's a fish of a lifetime.  Are you going to make a replica of her?

Of course she was released, but not before I got half a dozen pictures of her.  The thought of catching her next year when she will be well over 10 pounds is firmly planted in my mind.

Oddly enough, she didn't put of much of a fight.  I had her in the boat in about 30 seconds.  When I saw her flash, I thought for sure that she was a carp.  But to my surprise she was a pig.  Cheesy

As a veteran, (ok OLD) member of this club, either there are more fish than ever before, or we are just dang good anglers.  I prefer the latter.  What a HOG!!!  Where is the discussion on the ensuing battle??  I see a jig and pig, but I want to hear about what you thought the first time you saw the fish come to the surface.  Give me the juicy details!!!!
