Well guys & gals, If you want lunkers and alot of fish in the 2-3lb range then Lawrance in may is an awesome choice! 8) Long lake (kitsap) in June is also a toad fest, "I have pictures!!"  Ask Faz about skipping docks. Wink And if your needing to build confidence in spinnerbaits there is an awesome pad field at the S. end of the lake. Smiley Although If we had a fish-in on Riffe in june it would help those who have never been on it before, for our tourney there. (Just a thought.) I 've only driven by Cambell, but I've heard great things about it. Brian, (The Weedwalker)

Yes Larry,  us West end guys (oops, excuse me ) and gals like to keep our little spots a secret.  Cause you ain't goin' ta see any of them thar fancy, smancy Bass boats out there.  Maybe a Mckenzie or two HAHA

Besides it is too hard to pull one of them purty boats around when the tars on the truck is taller then the boat.

Now gots to go gets me "Dupont spinners" ready.  We gonna have us a fish fry.

lARRY S.,
Thank you so much for the welcome~, means MUCH to me, and I do so look forward to attending meetings, and 'fish-in's'.  I am 'poor fisherman', rich in fishing ... only boat I have ever had and still have is a 5 Chamber Sevylor, that I got to take 'four kids' I raised fishing so's they could CATCH fish!  Smile ... it's 'patched' lovingly, and I have spent thousands of hours fishing by myself.  I took Brenda (HI there, Brenda), my friend and neighbor, out on American Lake last night.  We fished from dusk, until we put-in at 2 AM!  Are we crazy, or WHAT?  Didn't catch, but had a good time ...
Anyway, Brenda introduced me to BASS fishing, and I caught her up to speed on 'trout' fishing, and we both look forward to being active members of this club.
That's ok, Larry-, Lake Wentworth is a well-kept, in-town, 'home-town' (logging town of Fork's, WA) fishing hide-away.  It is a tiny lake, but, wow, lots of fun.  I caught Rainbow, some kind of Pacific Trout (very colorful), Cutthroat, Blue-gill, and some very very weird fish, that I think was a rare kind of fish that has eyes that can see 'on-top' and 'below' water, at the SAME time!  I found it, closest looking 'drawing' (didn't even have a picture), in a 'rare-fish' book at a library.
Well, time to stop, but, you don't hear about that little lake everyday, don't think you have Alzheimers, (sp?), Larry.  Thank you again.  I better get to work, so I have time to FISH!   Grin

Hi~! I'm a brand new person, VERY soon to be member!  My sign-on-in, name is ylf ylf, but, call me Jerrie.  I'm a trout fisherman, surf-fisherman, salmon and steelhead fisherman, and brand new to bass fishing, having only caught ONE, a Jr., that I hear~.  I'm ready to learn to fish bass!   On this subject, I have fished this lake only once, and not for bass, but, I caught five different types of fish, including my first 'blue-gill', and one 'unidentified' fish, believe it OR NOT!  It is a very small lake, out HWY 101, up in the 'woods' quite a ways, Lake Wentworth (Oh, man, might be a different name, I'll double-check to be sure, and re-post~!).  But, if it has blue-gill, LARGE blue-gill that thrash like nobody's business, wouldn't it have BASS?  Like I said, I'll dbl ck the name of the Lake.  Someone welcome me?  My membership will be in mon or tues mail, and I would like to fish the VERY NEXT FISH-IN, and do my best to be prepared.

Rich,

Limmerick is way to small and is mostly a dink fest. If you want to contend with skier's there good luck because thats all they do on that lake. I fished it several years ago and my biggest was just over 3 but after catching 10" fish all day and dealing with all the pwc's it wasn't worth the trip.

I have fished Mason a couple times and will be going back.  I have caught several nice fish.  Fortunately the days I fished it were not really great weather wise so not too much traffic to contend with.  But there is some really nice areas for bass on this lake.

So I would suggest that this lake, if used, should be early in the spring or later in the fall.  A friend of mine (at least he says he is) lives on the lake and we have sat on his deck and watched a few hunert PWC's go by on a nice summer afternoon.

Spencer is pretty good.  I always hear Doug talking about Nahwatzel.  Fished it once but no fish.  Again, a fishy lake.

I would go to these lakes if they are included.  I have also heard that Limerick is supposed to have some decent bass in it.  Bueller...

I still remember that drive home across the Narrows Bridge Steve. Tongue  Although it was quite a bit shorter than going back to Olympia, the traffic was miserable on a Saturday afternoon.
I don't recall us catching any big fish, but the numbers weren't bad.  I also remember being impressed with how "Fishy" those lakes appeared to be Smiley.  I've gone back several times to Newahatsel (sp) and Isabella and managed to catch a few, just no lunkers.  I never went back to Mason because of the jet skiers.  However in the spring my bet is that it would be a very good lake.  Deadeye Mark caught one pig over 7lbs at Spencer a few years ago.  I seem to remember Ed Shinkle getting into a hog at one of those lakes also. Cheesy

I would definetly love to join you guys at a fish-in, but it's always on a Saturday and I work every Saturday. Angry  How about a Sunday sometimes?  If it's on a day that I'm off, I'll drive to Vantage if I have to.

Goodwin is a good choice, may be too far for some, but I'm sure we can get a decent turn out at a lake like this.
