Yes, I dropped my pants periodically throughout the night.
Oh wait, you mean the other moon! Yeah, it was a half moon that started making an appearance around midnight.

Was the moon out?

Yup, I think you're right. We had a major, major front move through the day before (actually, it didn't clear up 'till around 3pm on Saturday). Heavy, heavy downpours, hail, lightening... the works. The lake level rose about a foot according to one resident we spoke to. The water wasn't nearly as clear as it usually is either.
Water temp was 75, but I don't know what it was the week prior.
I'm positive that front screwed them up. Normally such a gin-clear lake that has heavy boat traffic during the day produces well on a warm summer night.

In fact I DID doze off several times while dropshotting in the middle of the night. I had to switch to topwater tactics every once in a while to stay awake. I also fell soundly asleep on the drive home several times, so I guess I'm probably tainted for life now.
I couldn't believe the lack of a bite and am at a loss to explain it. I expected to catch several fish, but I figured the experts among us would certainly be catching them right and left. I would guess that the answer lies somewhere in the weather conditions.

What was with the bite?? I figured more fish would of been caught at night.

Dipsnort, I hope you didn't fall asleep in the boat with Larry. If you did you be tainted now.
