Met my dad from Spokane at 6:30am for a day of fishing on banks. Launched from Coulee city. Came out of the bay and hit big white caps and wind. I slowly cruised around for about an hour and it just died off. Was nearly a perfect day aside from a rain shower or 2. Stayed calm most of the day after 8:am.

We caught a bunch of thses little scrappers.

Nearly all the same size +/- and inch. Nearly all caught on a crankbait.

Dad went home and I stayed over at the Alacozy Motel with my Big Walley burger wanting more fishing action on Sunday.
Woke up at 5:am to big wind. Went back to sleep for an hour or so. Still windy. SO I killed time hoping it would die down. By 10:am it was even stronger. SO I headed down to Moses lake, but it was just as bad there. So I headed to Vantage hoping for some calm water. Nope wind was coming right up the river. Not alot of out of the wind places. So I heaed home.

It was weird to see Lake Lenore with out 50 fly fishermen on the north side. Wind and fly fishing don't mix.

I'll be back. The fish will be bigger and the sun will be warmer!
