Actually my fish didn't come from red bushes. Not for a lack of trying. Both came from new water that I haven't fished before.

Apparently I was the only guy to figure out the snow pattern.. ..... Typical Silver for early season. Look for the warmest water, throw a SLOW falling lure, make 10,000 pitches and hope to God that you get lucky. The first fish was actually aggresive. I made a pitch into the spot. Didn't fell a bite. but pressure and she spit the jig out at me. Pitch in again and nothing. Started to lift the bait out of the water and bam she actually broke the surface to take a swipe at it. Missed her though. Came back 20 minutes later and 3 pitch into the area and bam solid strike and hook up. Second fish came just around the corner 15min later. Pitch to the bush, and before it got to the bottom solid strike. Biggest 2.3 lbs.

After the snow melted off the deck it was better. At noon there were 2 bass caught, both by Marc. M. way to go!!! Water temp was 41 at the lanch and warmed to 43 by noon. There were 5 boats and alot of bass that didn't get hooked.

There are boat rental places on the lake but I'm not sure if they are open this early in the season.

Keep in mind that there are 3 different silver lakes in Wa. I know the one in Pierce is seasonal but the one in Castle Rock is Year-round.

Silver Lake is open year around. It doesn't have a specific closure as doesn some of the lakes in Washington.
