It doesn't sound right when they said that 25% of 2 stroke fuel leaks into the water unburned. I can't believe that with the new fuel injection motors.

Good thing it was the back seat, and not the front seat....otherwise my corpse would be polluting Banks Lake after catching some Startos stitching across the forehead ...... I bet the smallies are suspended over that peice of structure right now.....

Good point, Larry! That is a much greater hazard to drinking water than outboard engines.

Yet they let the homeowners soak their lawns with fertilizers till the grass can be seen from the space shuttle............Or maybe it is all the lost Seats from all those Stratos Bass Boats?

Wow, it will be interesting to see what happens.
As far as I understand from a couple of prof's at UW who work on this sort of thing, although unburned fuel might leak into the lake, 99% of it (or more!) is evaporated off into the atmosphere. It wouldn't have a measurable effect on the quality of drinking water.
Pollution by two-strokes has much more to do with air quality than water quality. Although I support the advancement of clean burning technology, I really hope the council doesn't go overboard and deny access to the lake for outboard driven boats.
Like Larry the Cable Guy says, "That ain't right."
