The June Fish-in will be at Lake St. Clair in Thurston county. IT WILL NOT BE ON THE 4TH, like it says in the newsletter! That date conflicts with cast for kids, which I plan on attending. The new date will be on The 11th, if thats OK with everyone. I will bring up the topic at the meeting on Wednesday, and we can set the date in stone. Just a suggestion so please don't take it personally. I have lived in Lacey and Yelm for the last 10 years and have fished them all numerous times a year.

I will agree with Daryl that there are lakes in the area that will be more fun for everyone than St. Clair. There are bass, but not anything special. Just another opinion. Has Spencer been fished in awhile? I remember it being a longer drive, but we fished it in May several years ago and it was really good. There are some good fish in there.

It's a fun lake to fish. Its got more channels than comcast! I've caught many toads there including my pb 8.6.  Are either of you actually going to make the fish in anyway? I'll agree alot of smaller fish tend to be caught in high numbers, but the fact is that there are the occasional toads. Sorry about your misfortune on the lake. I love fishin' this lake. I used to live on it and could catch hogs off my dock. Smiley

It's nice to know there are some big fish in there. Unfortunetly I cannot make June 11th fish-in date because of a BASS tournament at Banks Lake. However, I plan on fishing some fish-ins this year. I usually hibernate until late March and had some earlier conflicts for April and May, But I do enjoy the relaxed fishing during these events.

I hope everyone has a good time and catches some good fish.

- I-5 South
- Off at 116 Exit, Old Nisqually Rd
- Turn left over the bridge
- Follow the road 3.8 miles
- Turn Left on Reservation Rd
- Go 2.7 miles to the T intersection (Hwy 510)
- Turn Left and go 1.3 miles to the casino
(on your right)
Driving Directions
I-5 going North from Portland area
- I-5 North
- Off at Exit 111, Marvin Rd S
- Go straight through Round About to
Marvin Rd S
- Turn Right on Marvin Rd S
- Go 2 miles to Round About
- Take Hwy 510 East toward Yelm exit
- Go straight 6 miles
- Casino is on your right
