Looks like the "Hype-Fest" has started........of course....I am a sucker for this hype!!
Loaded three loads of firewood into the garage....got two full gas cans of fuel for the generator....test ran said generator, insulated all the spigots and picked up all the fly-able stuff from the yard so the wind does'nt send it down range!!

Unfortunately this is a work weekend so I'll be gathering the slippery road victims off our highways! Angry Angry Angry Tongue
Good time to use my 100 MPH rain gear!! Grin

No snow this morning, but a half inch on the ground.  Could look crazy in the morning though.  I should have went fishing today, didn't see a drop of rain all day  Tongue

A lite dusting of snow at me house this morning. Lite as in less filling.  Not going to confirm if it tastes great.

9 degrees here in Eburg this morning, wind chill at -15.  Not as bad as yesterday, we had a 30 mph wind howling out of the east.  Today, not so bad, but the rest of the week does not promise too much relief.  High on Tuesday supposed to reach 5.  Good grief....

Winter, its the reason I did not return to North Dakota.  They had a blizzard and temps to low to mention.  We here will be out fishing befor long and won't need that ice auger. Still have an ice auger if any of you are looking to buy one.

This is it!!!
Yes...this is the coldest stretch of days I have ever seen since moving here in 1985.....my yard still has two inches of snow on it...my dogs go out for mere seconds just to bark twice at things, use the restroom and maybe play for a bit.
I cannot imagine how parents deal with cabin fever kids and how the homeless folks stay warm enough living outdoors! maybe I'm just getting older but man....THIS SUCKS!!

P.S........MORE SNOW FOR TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDS!!

Troy, when that ice is 4 inches thick, I'll bring my auger and we can ice fish.

And Larry, just dress up like you are going to fish Silver Lake in the spring and you'll be warm with that snow shovel in hand.
