Don't even go near this site if you have a weak stomach - otherwise, it's sort of funny in a twisted way.  I'm absolutely amazed the guy survived the fense post up his... oops, better not give it away!

This came out over one year ago.  I used this photo (BLOWN UP OF COURSE) during a presentation I conducted on boat safety for my crew up at Bangor SUBASE.  You should have seen their faces when this was in their handouts and I showed it really big on the wall.  I think they all thought really hard about my main points...No drinking....No screwing around while driving a boat.....And watch out for DOCKS............

Apparently, he'll never, ever have a problem passing anything. Grin Grin Grin Grin

He is just lucky he really lived.

I have seen that picture myself and as I have always stated "Some people are born stupid, some people learn to be stupid, and some people are just plain stupid. That guy hopefully learned a good lesson. Its so hard to believe people just don't use good judgment when it comes to boats with high speeds.

People never cease to amaze me.

Russ...anyone of us can have this same result as if the steering assembly catastrophically fails and kicks the boat left or right we would be sailing boatless......not that this was his case but it can happen.
Im glad no one hit any of those logs and debris on Riffe!

Given that my work deals with a Safety Environment every day, I echo Larry's statement completely.

John, I once had to sew up a severe hand laceration that I got while field cleaning an Elk in the mountains.  I was over 40 miles from a Dr. and nearly 30 from a vet.  To top that off, it would take me about 4 hours just to hike back to the road and my truck Tongue.  I did have an emergency fish kit in my day pack, and sewed up the cut so I could finish cleaning and boning him out for the hike out to the truck.

It wasn't pretty and it hurt like the devil. Cry  The Mc\Coy 6 lb line held up good enough until I could get to a Dr. the next afternoon.  Smiley
