Pre-fished this past Sunday with Megan.  Water temp was 55.5 at the peak of the day.  Saw boatloads of cruisers, but some where skittish and others flat uninterested.  Managed a nice limit of 3 lb fish and Megan caught four on a spinnerbait including a 5.5 lb beauty.  Beautiful day on Potholes and saw absolutely NO ONE fishing in the dunes the entire day.  There were a few boats at the launch, but did not see them on the pond.  It was a bad day to forget the camera.  Grr......Never want to lose a chance to take a picture of the kid with a fish.

Well I finally found a webpage of the Bureau of Reclamation that provided elevation levels for various dams.   As of Yesterday 4-29-08 Potholes is at 1,045.25 ft which is about a foot higher than the same date last year (1,044.41 ft).  Now I know that I can get into the same area I fished last year.  The link is below:

First select the dam/reservior (Potholes is POT) then select the dates. Also be sure to check the box to display Reservoir Water Surface Elevation (Feet).

Thats full pool. You can get just about anywhere with these conditions. You guys are going to smack the fish. Make sure you have good site fishing glasses cuz you are going to need them to upgrade your bags.

The year I won it 2006 I caught 90% of my fish site fishing.

I wish I could be there but have to go eat a huge plate of crawfish in New Orleans at that time Cry Cry Cry Yum,yum
