Troy,
There are usually two silver lake opens early in the year.  This one is always in late march or has been for the last couple years.  This year Mt. St. Helens isn't having their open.  Both usually are tough bite tournys but this one (capital city open) has been the tougher of the two over the last couple years.  I fished both these the last two years.

$10 launch fee at Streeters crappy launch-Thats rediculous. And hardly any parking, what a joke. It used to be free, then 2 bucks, now 10 thats insane.

Too early for this dog to fish it. I used to win money at that event now the fish have got me figured out.

Don't mind tough bites but like to catch a few fish every now and then to keep my interest up.

The crappy thing about the launch fee is that a lot of people launch at the public launch and idle over, and I'm not even sure if streeters launch fee is $10?  Sad  I think they might charge like this because they might have had a problem with people not paying the launch fee a couple years back?  If I remember right a lot people who weren't local and didn't know about it.

Russ,
I think they have new docks now, but even less parking!  Wink

I think Streeters might be charging them a flat fee for the tournament (launch fees, tournament raffle, etc.)

I think I will give this one a try again.  It was by far my most successful tourny last year.

Susan and I are going.  Stu, been meaning to ask you, do you have that BIG home made silver lake map from the meeting last year?   May or may not help me much, but I'd like to take a look at it.  Grin

Team Booth will be running out of the newly tuned Ranger, sans the jackplate.  Last minute emergency repair bumped my boat from being done but I'll be taking it back shortly to have the plate added.  I also found I was running on 5 out of the 6 cylinders due to a faulty coil so I should run a little bit better.  I really just hoping to make a killing on the raffle...
