What are your favorite top 3 fishing line brands for drop shotting, flipping, cranks etc.

Have currently been using P-Line,Gamma,Maxima,BPS XPS , Power Pro and Sugoi and wanted to pair that down to 1 or 2 brands.

Suggestions Please.

8 lb Gamma clear and 8lb Seagaur Invisinx for drop shotting.  For baitcast diff sizes of Gamma, and some Trilene XL.  Used to be a McCoy fan, was happy with it too.

Wishful Sponsors: BassCat Boats, Mercury Marine, Tackle Warehouse, Chevy Trucks, Chevron Gas, G-Loomis Rods, Shimano Reels.

Gamma Co-Polymer 10# for reaction baits, For bottom baits I usually use 12 lb. Gamma Flouro on baitcasting, and 8 lbs. gamma flouro on spinning. Drop Shotting I prefer 6 lb. test Gamma Flouro.

For all soft plastic/ finesse applications I use 6 or 8 pound Sugoi flourocarbon.  Bait size and water clarity influenced which spool to use.   Tried three others. The worst line of all four floros was Vanish.  I have never cursed a line more than that stuff.  Last year I tried out Halo and really liked it for reaction type baits.

Come tourney time, If I don't have P-line on I'll have McCoy on. The exception would be if I was drop shotting light, then it would be Maxima tourney silver. You guys seen the results, nuf said. Cool

I use two....
Izorline in 8lb for spinning general
Izorline in 6 lb for Dropshots
Izorline in 12 lb for Baitcasters
and Fireline for Braid applications.
Just switched to 6 lb for the dropshots this year as I have been concerned the fish might be seeing the 8 lb stuff.
The color of the Izorline is Green and it is the Platinum series.

This past year I have used Berkley Vanish Flouro and Cajun Advantage mono, and I've come to hate both of them. Angry  Will be switching to Gama this year due to all of the positive feedback I've heard about it.

My best 3 lines:

3) I broke off a fish that was at least 8 lbs.

2) Even though it's aluminum, my boat can do 60 mph.

1) To a girl at a frat party: Want to see my fish tank? (This was from college and actually worked - more than once).

Stu,

You win!!!! No just kidding you are starting to sound like GM another cleverly funny individual.

Thanks for the replys. Now I haven't heard from the flippers of the club. I know Kirk uses BiG Game Berkely and I use 20lb Maxima Floro or XPS what else are people trying?

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! Smiley

Gamma Technologies will again provide 6# & 8# test clear copolymer line at the tournaments to anyone who wants to spool up some.  I might have a little of the green in the same test range and some clear 12# come tourny time.  Just ask.

Gamma REALY appreciates your acception of them in the NW fishing arena and wants to improve their product if they can.  Just ask me about the line and don't hesitate to provide suggestions for improvment.
