John,

It looks like a walleye fry. I thought at first it was a sculpin but I don't see the large gill plates that they have. The color and shape are what distinguishes my answer.

It almost looks like a Mark Maderos fish.

My guess is a sculpin.  More specifically, a Georgian redneck, boat wrapus sculpin.

The tail looks like a sculpin and the head looks like a sculpin, but the markings don't.  Hmmm Huh  I wonder, does it quack like a sculpin? Grin

The markings are what made me wonder. I have caught or removed many Sculpins but I have never seen one with marks or color like that.
I did some reading & I guess there are at least twenty species of sculpins. never new that Shocked
I need to adjust presentation accordingly

Wow... I get paid to ID these things and that is a toughie... Is it from Lake Washington?

The rear portion of the fish looks just like a sculpin, but the head doesn't look like a sculpin. Do you happen to have a picture looking directly down on the fish?

The most common sculpin in Lake Washington are prickly sculpin, but there are also torrent and coastrange sculpin. See that single small spine sticking out of the gill plate? That is typically a sculpin feature. I will stick with a guess of some kind of sculpin... If you remember the skin feeling rough, it was most likely a prickly sculpin. Without looking at the fish up close, it would be hard to distinguish species.

Sarge

It looks like a sculpin that is half digested. The head is disfigured and the fins are gone. It looks like it was regurgitated after a short period of time in the fish's stomach or half way swollowed. ???

It definitely spent some time in the stomach. It wasn't freshly eaten, probably puked up after being in there for several hours, maybe a little more.

I don't have any more photos but I am fairly sure it was a prickly sculpin. It was from lake meridian. The colors are not like any others I have seen on web pages or have caught. When I say colors I mean the tail not the digested part.
