Be Aware when getting a new license!

I'm keeping this clean and trying not to vent too much!! WDFW is at it again. If you are strictly a warm water fisherman, you don't need to read this. If you bought a combination fishing license last year and also enjoy fishing for salmon, steelhead, crab etc., be careful when you buy your 2007 license. The state is charging an additional $10 per license if they do not have your catch card on file. Being that the season is not over and you can currently fish for salmon in some areas of Puget Sound and still fish for steelhead (not sure about crab right now), you had better have your catch card with you!! I was told by a vendor that you can jump through hoops and get your money back from the state once you turn your card in. Am I an idiot or does this seem to be the epitome of stupidity...again from this state?!?!

Where did you get your license?  Just last week I purchased mine at Sportsmans Warehouse in Silverdale during Lunch and they didn't ask me anything and I purchased a combo license at normal price.  Not sure why they would charge you $10.00 more when the season isn't even over yet?  Doesn't make sense to me either.....

Troy,  you still can, I just mailed my in today...Never was asked to see it or give it up, so I'm not sure why our fellow member was charged $10.00?  Doesn't make sense to me..

Went to G.I. Joe's in Federal Way and had the manager, who I highly respect, call the WDFW "hotline" to double check the info. He filled me in on the details and even he felt it was absurd! Then I went to try to buy it on-line like I have done the past few years and the $10 fee popped up again.

Go buy it in person, and forget the on line deal, that will end the madness, at least it didn't effect my purchase.
