Best early season lake

Which lakes around here warm up the fastest?  I am already going out of my mind.  A guy can only make so many pitches into a coffee can before it gets boring Wink  Does Kapowsin warm up earlier than most because of the shallow depths?  I have only fished it once, and that was last fall.

My guess would be the shallowest lakes possible. Lakes like Silver in Cowlitz county come to mind. But when you say warm up it doesn't take much in shallow lakes. Stable weather like in the 50's turns Silver on. I have gone down there in the middle of February and smoked them when the temps stay in the 50's. If you have one cold day it can change in a hurry to no bite at all.

Well, I guess I would have to agree with Baker on this one. I like Silver all year round but being that it is so shallow it can cool off just as fast as it can heat up. Undecided Sounds like you were doing some pitching anyways. Or you can always hit Lake Washington for Smallies.
