Here's a different topic. I picked up a pair of Georgia Boots to wear this fall/winter. What is the best stuff to use to waterproof them with (other than rubber or plastic bags, etc. Wink)?

The stuff is call SNO SEAL.  Its a waxy like paste you put on your boots and sit them buy a heater vent or put them in your oven to have the stuff heated / baked into the leather.  One treatment usually lasts me for the season.

I agree with Mark, Sno Seal is very good and works well with leather boots.  The silicone spray etc, work okay for short periods of time, but you must reapply on a regular basis, while the Sno Seal is good all winter.

Stu,
Before using the sno seal, be sure that the boots are in fact leather and not synthetic.  I ruined a perfectly good pair of boots that way.  Also, I prefer to use a silicone product.  Usually a brush application and let dry.  No rubbing, scrubbing, etc.  My 2 cents.
