Minn Kota Power Drive

I had the Minn Kota power drive 40 for 2 years..Minn Kota was bought out by Johnson .The big problem is the pedals go bad I had 3 replaced in that 2 years & once the warranty is up by one month Minn Kota/Johnson tells me that cant do any thing for me. The pedal cost $68 to replace.
Other problems:
1.It turns slow to slow if you are fishing in wind.
2.The always on switch is position so that you can step on it by mistake and if the speed is set on high your going overboard ( I never fell over but came dam close)
3. The turning motors use up your battery much faster.
4. The turning motors make noise & that's not good if you need stealth.
5.The speed/power seems to be less then a cable driven model.
6.I had multiple problems with it interfering with my depth sounder. After they blame my depth sounder and had me make many changes to the way I had it hooked up it turned out to be poor grounding in the motor. Not a bad wire bad design.
I have a cable steer model now & works way better.
Also it not just a fluke that my pedals went bad I have talked with 5 others had the same thing
