Among the military warrior community it is a practice to wish a hearty hail & farewell to departing members of the command.

Our own Mark Field, a soldier with the United States Army and currently stationed at Ft. Lewis, has received  orders transferring him for the 4th time to combat duty in Iraq.  Mark has willingly accepted this 1 year assignment as the professional soldier that he is.

All of us in this nation are blessed to have such fine young men & women defending and serving our country.  Most of us don't get the chance to meet and personally know some of these folks like Mark; just an ordinary guy who loves to fish.  We will miss you while you are gone Mark, and will be careful to leave some lunkers in the lake for you when you get back.

Please join me in saying "Hale and Farewell Soldier.  May God watch over you while away and speed your safe return".

Thanks Smitty for the kind words. Yes, I am going back for another tour. Ahh this past year has flown by. I remember my first tourney at Riffe Lake, it was pretty bruttal; however, I had a blast. The Western Bass Club has been very hospitable towards me, thank you all so much. You all, the club members make this club one of the finest. I will be back, hopefully I will have more time to pre-fish for the tourneys. So Lyle, Russ, Rob, Mike, Brian, Bob, Larry yall keep fishing "practicing". I might be alittle rusty, but I will be back. Thanks, Marc.
