Hit Morton with Bill B on Wednesday.  Yeah I know, the only day that wasn't nice.  Water temp was a sizzling 57 degrees on the surface and 48 down deep.  Cruised the shallows looking for a fish and low and behold jack pot.  Fish literally had it's head buried in the mud and weeds when we seen her.  Manuevered the boat for a cast. Perfect, one twitch, two twitch.  Nothing second cast right on top of her.  Lure actually bounced off her head. Nothing.  Motor over and actually took the net, put it in the water and scooped her out of 2 ft of water.  4lbs 12oz.....  Does that qualify as a catch???? Shocked Shocked
What is it with me and "netting" fish lately.  After examining the fish.  Both Bill and I determined this fish to be very unheathly.  Something wrong with it's back, no belly full of eggs.  Let her go and she immediately swam 50 ft and buried her head back into the moss and mud.
