I did a Google Search and came up with: http://www.britishcolumbia.com/ParksAndTrails/Parks/details/?ID=409  One report said Smallies up to 6. They barely know what a treasure they have...like Washington about 30 years ago. These appear to be mostly electric only lakes, so I'm taking my canoe. Cheaper to get on the island, too.  Wink

A couple of years ago I was talking to a fellow who used to do a little guiding in his spare time and he raved about Spider Lake.

He said that you will be the only person fishing for Bass on the lake, especially after labor day, and the Smallies are very cooperative.

Good Luck

You're in luck, Russ.  I posed the question on my favorite B.C. "slimer forum" and got a few responses.  Grin

Hey dipsnort, your not supposed to tell them bass taste fantastic, don't give them any ideas  Cheesy.  That lake sounds like a gem, it sure is far for just a day trip.

Ok, I confess.  When I first started bass fishing a couple of years ago I kept a couple and fried 'em up.  And yes, they tasted really good.  Grin

And by the way, if you don't think most B.C. Canadians hate bass with a passion, you haven't been around many of them very long.  They feel more strongly about bass than bass fishermen feel about "slimers".  Trust me!  I consider myself somewhat of an "ambassador" in that crowd.  Wink

I had a buddy from Minnesota. Most fisherman looked at bass like a "garbage fish." Like we would look at a squaw fish, and we know what we do to them when there caught........chum.
