Does anyone have any suggestions for lures/baits that they think work especially well on St. Clair? Just in case I don't already have what I'll need for Saturday.

Thanks,
Stuart

I think you'll have what you need. I've done alright on cranks and worms.

Hey!!! Saturdays weather looks like it will be cloudy and a slight chance of showers so what does that mean??? Aggressive Largemouth!!!! Spinnerbaits and Texas Rigged Worms I feel will be the order of the day and the occasional jig or bitsy bug will rope 'em too so who all is goin??
Head count please and you boaters lets hear it!!!
This one requires little to no fuel and after Roosevelt it is welcome!!!
Arvin if your listening....we will be getting into bigger fish this time!!! Hope your bottom fish are biting!

St Clar Folks,

Throw 176 double tail Yamamoto Grubs 5" on docks, tubes, and top water for the morning bite. Pointers don't forget.

ALthough I have only fished this lake twice, I had most of my success of a texas rigged black lizard pitched into the docks.  Bigger fish for me on the docks than other typical locations.

I might show up in the 9 footer.  Only fished St. Clair once.

Hey Club.....WE had a good time even if the bigger fish were a no show or maybe a "Get Off" as 4 boats with 7 anglers made the drive to StClair...I say "Get Off" as a nice 2-1/2 pound largie popped of as I was trying to roll him over a log....GRRRRRRRR...(No rods were damaged in this event...) I still managed a 1 pound largie for big fish but all reported a dink fest of 4-10 inchers. Brats went well as I broke in y new BBQ! Got to see Chris's(known as Powerworm on the site) Skiff and was guite impressed with the set up! and me and Chris were the only remaining afternoon crew and we started to figure out the pattern when we just ran out of time. The bigger fish were staged on shelf edges in 8-15 feet of water and were very aggressive, had we moved to 12-20 feet and more time...... who knows. Thanks to all who came and lets get out there and fish folks!!

Yup what Larry said   Smiley  It was a fun day, my first time fishing in a bass boat, I had a smile ear to ear.   Thanks again Larry.  Wish we could of found those bigger fish.  I had a hell of a day today at the private lake I told you about Larry  Wink  Got a 3.5, 4.2, 3.0 and a 2.7 smallies.
