April 15-16, Lake Washington team tournament

After speaking with the city of renton, we have decided to change the launch location for the April tournament. It will no longer be a gene coulon park, we will be taking off from Newport shores. Contestants are still more than welcome to launch from Mercer Island or coulon and idle down to Newport Shores.

-Sign ups will begin 4:00am.
-Driver's meeting 5:45ish
-Blast off around 6:15 or safe light.

Weigh in time and specifics about rules will be announced at drivers meeting.

Please join before day of tournament. However we will be accepting signups in morning. General rules that are same for every western bass club are listed below. These all must be followed or you will be disqualified. Any questions contact me

- Boat owners liability insurance (including coverage for third party property damage and
bodily injury) with no “tournament exclusion”, having a minimum limit of $300,000 per
occurrence.
- Boats must be equipped with all required U.S. Coast Guard equipment, including, but not
limited to, three flares, horn, carbon monoxide sticker, etc.
- Contestants and passengers must wear a Coast Guard-approved chest-type life preserver
anytime the combustion engine is running. This preserver must be strapped, snapped or
zippered securely and maintained in that condition until the combustion engine is shut off.
Inflatable life vest indicators should be checked daily.
- Boats must display a “Contest/Tournament” banner meeting the regulations of the
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
- Boats must have a functional ignition kill switch for the internal combustion engine and
the boat captain must be securely connected to the kill switch any time the internal
combustion engine is running.
- Boats must be equipped with a functioning, aerated livewell.
- Every contestant that is 15 years of age  or older must posses a valid Washington State
fishing license.
- Boat captains must possess a Washington State Boater Education Card.
- All contestants shall obey all State and Federal laws and follow the highest standards of
sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation.
-NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS (other than those purchased over-the-counter or prescribed
by a licensed physician) are allowed on any boat during tournament hours
