Boaters- in Wa, the items you MUST have to be legal are: a CO sticker (can be acquired anywhere they do vehicle licensing), a throwable flotation device, PFDs for each person (note: if they are the self or auto inflating type, they MUST be worn to count as a PFD. If they are simply stowed and you are inspected, they DO NOT count as a PFD), visual signaling devices (both day and night), audible signaling device (horn, whistle, etc), a fire extinguisher and, if actively in an organized tournament, a green CONTEST or TOURNAMENT banner. Your boat will be inspected by WBC for the following: a working and attached kill switch lanyard that is worn AT ALL TIMES when the big motor is in gear, a working livewell and and INSURANCE. Additionally, it should be mentioned that, if a tournament boat is cited for a violation, of any kind by any law enforcement agency, during tournament hours, immediate disqualification will happen. Additionally,  no alcohol is to be kept in the boat during tournament hours. Now, this is, by no means, all the rules. We will briefly discuss size limits, 5 or 6 "keepers", off limits, etc. prior to each tournament at the "drivers meeting". If you have any Qs, feel free to reach out. Any of the Board Members would be glad to help.  More to follow on NON BOATER expectations soon. Tight pines and see you Saturday at the Awards Banquet...
