I've notice a lot more largemouth in the lake in the past few years , caught a nice one a few weeks ago on top water in a place I've only caught smallmouth . Are largemouth making a resurgence in lake Washington ?

Decided to fish for only largies and caught five from 2-3.5lbs in 3 hours. I worked some different areas and will have to revisist them in the spring during the spawn.

Took the son, wife's cousin and sister out for a boat ride and fished a bit. They caught a few in the 1-1.5lb range and I managed to hook a 3lber (handed the rod to the son to fight) and another 1.5lber in a total of 30 minutes that I fished. Out on the water from 3-6pm.

Fished it again today with 30+ fish caught from 2PM to 7PM... 18-25 ft on weedlines... If you are not fishing this lake you do not like to catch fish!!! a lot of them are 1lb to 1-1/2 but are great fun and I even caught 3 over 2-1/2 the biggest being 2-3/4 pounds. Dropshot Robo worms are the ticket.

Fished Lake Washington Saturday the 22nd and caught 17 from 6AM to 1:30..... best 5 would have been around 11.5 so only two 3 pounders but lost a couple more. water temps around 73. Dropshot did all the damage except for two on a Sammy one was a 1-1/2 Largie.
