The only two lakes in California that require them are clear lake and castaic.  The inspection fee is like $20.  The inspections are just done at the boat launched.  Idaho you have to get a sticker and an inspection when you cross the state line.

HI all,  Planning to take our boat down to California to fish in a few lakes in Riverside and I know there are invasive species inspections required to launch the boat.  I was told by another angler that there could be inspections just crossing the border into CA and also possible inspection once I get back into WA.  I was not aware of any inspection requirements here in WA, does anyone know if this is correct info?  Thanks,  Tim
