OK, the first 2 steps of the process is over. Birdie and her staff will now put the full report together and file it with her supervisor who will then make the decision to send it on to SEPA for their approval. I will update with the e-mails as updates come in.

Here is the summary attachment. This has been an interesting process to be a part of. Would be great to see a few more of the club membership at the 29 June meeting.

Hello All:
I hope you are having a great start to your summer despite this wet day! I’ve attached responses to comments from the last Lake Kapowsin workshop on June 8. We are hosting another community workshop on June 29th at the Graham Fire station, flyer attached. I encourage all to attend – the format is listening posts with a wrap up discussion at the end of the meeting. Apologies for any cross posting.
Here is the link to the draft management plan if you would like to browse or provide additional comments:

Was a good meeting. The senator that was there sure asked me a lot of good deep questions.
I was surprised to see a picture from a past Fish-in from Lake Kapowsin used in this poster.

Greetings Lake Kapowsin Community, In response to the feedback we received from the community at the April 23 public meeting, the Department of Natural Resources is holding workshops on June 8th and 29th to discuss the proposed aquatic reserve. The workshops are also an opportunity for local residents to share ideas about how to build a community partnership for Lake Kapowsin, and ensure local voices are part of the plan. Please come and participate in the workshops with your friends, and neighbors and DNR staff. Please see attached fact sheet with a summary of the plan highlights. The draft management plan will also be available on the DNR Aquatic Reserve webpage starting on May 20, 2016. www.dnr.wa.gov/managed-lands/aquatic-reserves/
