We had a few active duty members and dependents talk to us with lots of questions on how to catch bass on base. It is quite the learning curve for anglers who grew up in the south with dirty water shad forage based bass. We were able to demonstrate baits and techniques that will help them.

We had a great time today guys. If you are on the fence about taking a shift you should. I had a great time helping out folks that are wanting to get started with bass fishing and even a few folks that wanted to get set up for trout. We had quite a few folks that seemed interested in what our club was about and liked our less competitive stance on club activities. Lots of good conversation.

I bought two reels with the 25% off for vendors and the receipt had a $20 cabelas cash coupon good towards any item so I bought some shirts!

I just met with Derek who will be at Cabela's tomorrow morning and gave him the club banner to tape on the front of the table and also some membership forms and 75th Anniversary stickers.

I'll be down there on Sunday from approx. 11 AM to 3 PM filling in between Carl and Mike in the AM and Rodney and Stu in the PM.

Are we going to have any handouts at the table?

We are a non-affiliated club, this enables us to keep our annual membership fees low at $45 per year for a family membership.  We are associated with the federation thus enabling the club to participate in the Jamboree. This last year we had a member who was the overall champion, Larry Sullivan. The WBC took top honors as a club with a first place finish, first time in 35 years.

All Members will enter through the Employee entrance on the WEST SIDE of the building and check in with the Switchboard Outfitter... the door may be locked so you will have to knock or buzz to get in.... we will be required to exit from here too signing in/out accordingly..... more instructions will be posted on the table when you arrive... should be on the lower floor near the tackle area.

P.S. it would be considered bad form to wear any Bass Pro Shops clothing there... Just Sayin!!!!

I added an event to the FB page for this weekend at Cabela's. Please go to the "Events" link on our FB page, click the Cablea's event and then choose the "Invite" button to invite as many of your FB friends as you like. This will help spread the word that we'll be there and we may get some additional members!

Don't believe we will have shirts by Saturday.  Gave Jim the final two shirts we ordered this last Saturday and Jim hasn't gotten back to me with a revised ETA.  I'll check in with him in a few days, but it will not be this Saturday.

Yes I can do 12 - 4 on Saturday.  I will need someone hanging out with me from 2 - 4.
