Here's a better picture of the water running in from the mountains there was literally a current in the lake. Got to be why it was so cold.

I was actually going to hit Clearlake because of the smallmouth thought I'd have a better chance of catching something, with the waters all high in all of those lakes I thought I would be able to launch. I got there and the gate was all locked up, even though it says open year-round there was no access? @ 10am

Rain finally stopped! So snuck out to ohop for a few hours. Water was frigged 44deg. About 2ft over from all the runoff. There was so much runoff coming in gave the lake a current at the mouth. Anyways went slow as i could, thought it was going to be futile, but got one 4lb 13oz off a log behind the "current". Just picked up the bait snd sat there. Zero movement on line just felt slightly heavy set the hook to see. Only thing all day. No hits no nothin. But still maybe even more rewarding!
