Nice job guys, I been fishing that lake once or twice since I got a 5 lber on a spinnerbait there in I'd say 2006.  It's fun when the skiier's aren't out.
I went a week or two after you guys and had a close call with a 6-7# on a larger swimbait, but otherwise got a couple 1.5's on a jig around docks, still fun, they were aggressive.

Here is a picture of some of the bright green algae/moss/gook that was in much of the shallow areas.  This could get to be a real problem for this lake as the year goes on.

Had a good day on Mason Lake and caught four Fish.  Caught two nice largemouth skipping senkos under docks near the end of the day, one was 3 lbs. 5 oz. and the other was 2 lbs. 7 oz.  Also caught two smaller ones in the morning, totaling about 2 lbs.

I thought I was going to have the most weight for the day until Larry pulled up to a dock right as we were idling in at the end of the day and caught that 4 lb pig.  Nice job Larry, even though you snatched the victory from me!😂

We changed our breakfast place so instead of Blondies we went to the Pinetree restaurant, at first street and railroad, because the people that own the Pinetree restaurant are friends of my family. I think everybody had a nice, big breakfast and enjoyed the food they prepared for us.

Derek caught a 5.5 pounder pretty early in the morning so he got big fish for the day. Nice job Derek on big fish !!

It was also nice to see Mike Remmy with his family out on the water fishing and having a good time.

Carl Sabin was there with Dan, a friend, and had a nice day on the water.

Dan Caffrey had to leave early because he wasn't feeling so well, so no chili dogs at the end of the day.  Hope Dan is feeling better.

Larry killed it! I'm sorry for my memory loss but the new guy got a pig! and Karl did very well as weel. Even though I did poorly I learned a new technique to use on certain lakes. Thanx to larry and Karl. I will be trying to use this in my arsenal, thank you guys.

Everyone,

The May fish-in is on Mason Lake this Saturday, May 9th.

We'll be stopping for breakfast first at Blondies Restaurant located at 628 W Railroad Ave, Shelton, WA 98584 · Shelton.

Lets meet at Blondies when they open at 5:30 for a great breakfast.  They have a gravel parking lot at the funeral home across the street for parking rigs.

Should be a great day on the water and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there.
