yep everyone caught fish. no real big ones my The big fish went to Karl Kein's son Cody, but it wasn't weighed just measured in at 16 1/2 in. So I imagine it to be about 2 3/4 lbs. As far as weighed fish Larry's big one went 1lb-7oz, Karl' Kramers went 1lb-5oz mine went 2lb-0oz and Don's went 2lb-3oz. Jose also caught some fish too but I didn't hear how big his big one was. Anyway it was a lot of fun, We even had a Shore breakfast again. Thanx Karl Kramer for the awesome omelets and bacon! Thanx Larry for the muffins, And I brought some OJ too. I spent 95% of my day hunting down a big  fish but it just never happened. Others caught lots of fish I think Don said he got over 30. The weather was also very nice all day with water temps around 68 - 72 degrees.  The Lake itself had a speed restriction of only 5mph because of the high water, which actually made fishing the main lake really nice. It just takes forever to get back to the launch where you forgot your net and back. Smiley

Thanx everyone for showing up it was a lot of fun! Cool

So it looks like it going to be Dan and I thought he said he had a backseater (Tom or Christy?), Larry and Jose and myself.  Dan's got the OJ and cups (and I'm assuming the chili dogs for afterwards), I'll bring my stove, cast iron cooking plate, cheesy scrambled eggs with veggies, 2 pounds of cooked bacon we can heat up, a 6 foot plastic table to set it all up on and utensils.

Larry, can you or Jose get some blueberry muffins or some other pastry to round out the menu?

Does 5:00 AM sound like the right time to arrive and then start setting up for breakfast, which should get us out of there for the 6:00 AM launch?

If anybody else is coming speak up so we can bring enough food for you.

I went down to Outdoor Emporium today and they have rectangular cast iron skillet that will fit perfectly over my Coleman 2 burner stove and I'm buying it tomorrow.  We just bought a folding 6 foot plastic table at Costco today so we can use that to setup on.  It doesn't sound like many guys will be showing up so I don't mind making scrambled eggs with cheese/onions/green peppers/tomatoes and heating up some bacon I cooked the night before.

Can anyone bring orange juice & plastic cups?  If someone wants to bring some muffins or some other pastry I think we've got breakfast.  I have paper plates, forks, paper towels and trash bags unless someone wants to bring those.

What do you guys say about doing breakfast at the launch like we had planned?

How many guys are showing up and who can help with some of the stuff I mentioned?

No parking at Denny's?  At 5 in the morning?

I just don't know if there's any parking, and so far it looks like only two boats. I got a backseater.

Maybe someone can pillage the recipe for Rodney's flapjacks...

Other than that it looks like either Denny's or forage for ourselves.  How many boats are going to be there?

So maybe the shore breakfast isn't going to work with Rodney having other commitments.

What about the Denny's at exit 125 in Tacoma at 11755 Pacific Highway, Tacoma, WA 98499.  Lake St Clair is exit 116, so after breakfast we drive 9 miles to exit 116, about a 10 minute drive.  Wouldn't that work?

Sad  I now have a conflict that takes priority, sorry to say those who haven't tasted my Lake St Clare flapjacks maybe next time. Enjoy and don't let Dan get away with another big fish.  Wink

OK, after reading the presidential mandate again, I'm leaving the taters at home. Eggs and something else it will be.
