Myself I blew my motor the weekend prior while prefishing. Don Hankinson was kind enough to loan me his boat so I could compete.
Bryan and I found quality fish on one dune and I marked it on the gps. Problem was I had no gps on Don's boat and I drove around in circles looking for that special dune. I finally decided to just shutdwon and fish. Had a 3lb plus fish bury me in a beaver hut and couldn't get him/her out. Finally boated one around 11:00a.m.
Made a move and found some quality fish and lost three more fish including one I estimate around the six pound range. That fish made my eyes water with frustration.

Yeah...lets just say we couldnt get out of the cookie cutter LM, need to learn how to fish deeper dunes.

I don't think it was a tough bite. It took 15lbs to make the top 30.

We had these members compete in this event. Looks like it was a tough bite.Did anyone learn anything.
