I have to agree with the Rev on this one. Being a tournament director for the club in the past takes a lot of organization, time and additional volunteer help.

Even though I have disagreed with our start times in the last two years, it was nice not having to get up at 4 am or so after a 60+ hour week and blast off. It would be nice to see earlier starts for the summer events to take advantage of the top water bite though.

All in all a well run event. We are lucky to have Jim Ruman for our tournament director.

It's been years since I have had the opportunity to attend a club tournament, and I have NEVER been to one when there were 53 anglers!  (Like there were at Potholes last weekend!)  After watching what it takes to make the event work smoothly, I take my hat off to Jim Ruuman who ran a great tournament!  While everyone else gets to fish until the last moment, Jim comes in early to set up for the weight in.  When everyone else is relaxing and sitting around chatting and speculating as to who is leading or winning, Jim is working away on the computer putting in tons of data - names, weighs, type of fish, big fish, etc., for all 53 anglers.  He had the tournament prizes, trophies, monies, raffle, etc., all ready to go when the presentation was ready.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who is glad some one volunteers for this important and crucial position each year.  Thank you Jim!  You did a  great job!  I salute you and thank you for making it a great weekend!
