Actually Nick, only a rookie would post a picture with a fish like that in the spot that he actually caught it.  I didn't catch it there, it was in a much more popular area.  You feel free to fish there though.  It was just were I happened to find a home owner to take my picture cuz I was fishing by myself, and it was a spot out of the wind and away from other boats that might be potential competitors this weekend Wink.  Nevermind though, Thats were you definately want to fish, especially next weekend.

You might have revealed your lure, but the spot. I know that spot. Finally i know a fish lives there. Hit every time I've been on that lake and never a bite.

Joel,

Thanks for the skinny. I am not fishing the tourney and was sick all weekend with a cold or something and was wishing for some news on Silver on how anyone did.

Well the pre-fishing went pretty good for me on saturday and looking at the weather I wish I would of gone today to, but here it goes.  This was the first day I got to really fish more than an hour besides an evening trip earlier this week.  But without revealing any super secret material I caught two fish, but I fished for the better part of 9 hours.  The first fish came pretty early followed by a little fish mid morning that was pushing a whopping 13 inches Shocked.  But the good news is I started out the year pretty good cuz the first one went 5lb 12oz.  Thats right Carlos I'm coming for you.  Tried to lose her a few times under the boat, then in the pads, and then again with the net because I've never had to try and net a fish that big by myself, but it turns out that just reaching down and lipping them is a lot easier when your on your own.  Anybody make it out sunday?  Larry not giving out any secrets either?

He really loves to talk, but yes Glenn, your dad would know him, he was always talking about the late 60's early 70's.

He has every Bassmaster issue ever made!!!!!

I don't remember him, but I'm certain my dad knows him.  My dad was WBC secretary from '68-'72.  I was fishing in the club back then, but I was just a young pup.  Wink

If you look at old maps of Silver Lake, one of the canals is named Robard's Ditch.

Yeah Jon is a great guy and loves to talk about Bass fishing. He definatly has a passion for our sport. Kind of reminded me of someone I know just older. Anyway I was just kidding about lake secrets. He didn't give much away. Besides it always means a lot more when you do all the work getting on em or figuring em out.

Joel, I love your confidents. I think that's great but, lets not get carried away son. I'm looking forward to battling you. Are you going to fish the St. Helens Open as well? We'll have to get out there together someday too, like we talked about. I can show you how...Just kidding. Get on some TOADS for me if your out there this weekend. It should be nice! BTW I barely recognized you with the new hair cut last weekend.

Ray, now if your angling skills were as good as your computer skills you'd be deadly! lol

Ya, I've met him out there a couple of times and he knows a lot about the lake history!  But I don't think he told carlos anything thats going to allow him to compete with me!  He seems to be a pretty good guy though, likes to talk!
